On Air with BFBS
Scotty’s Founder Nikki Scott visited the studios of the British Forces Broadcasting Service this week to promote the charity’s upcoming Spartan Race Military Wave and to talk a little about our work.
Nikki spent time on the breakfast show with presenter Richard Hatch and spoke about the new Military Wave concept at Spartan Race, the worlds best obstacle race, supporting Scotty’s Little Soldiers. The Military Wave is open to those from within the Armed Forces community or supporters of Scotty’s and is an opportunity to take part in the 8-10 mile course taking place on the 2nd September in Market Harborough.
Nikki explained “we’re trying to get teams from different services and different regiments to sign up and compete against each other. We’d love for it to become an annual event for our Armed Forces community. The entry fee is £68 which is a big discount on a regular Spartan Race registration fee and 20% of that does directly to the charity “
Nikki went on to talk about why she started the charity and why it’s so important we continue to provide support for our bereaved Forces families. You can view the BFBS video of Nikki’s interview here…
